St John’s on-the-Hill has announced the appointment of Mrs Anri Adachi as its new Director of Music. Anri will join the school in September.
Mrs Ruth Frett, Head of St John’s, said: “We had a very impressive field of candidates. However, Anri’s excellent reputation, vision and quality of musicianship led to a unanimous decision to appoint her. Anri is a superb musician and we are hugely impressed by her work. Her appointment heralds an exciting time in the development of music-making at St John’s and we are all looking forward to working with her.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr David Mitchell. He will leave St John’s at the end of the Trinity term to join Old Buckenham Hall Preparatory School as Deputy Head, in September. We are incredibly grateful for all his hard work. He has excelled in delivering wonderful productions and the children’s musical achievements have been excellent under his leadership.”
Mrs Anri Adachi said: “I am thrilled to be joining this wonderful school, which is so well regarded for its music. I very much look forward to sharing my passion for directing musicals and shows and encouraging the children’s choirs and ensembles in concerts and festivals.”
