With this quote in mind, we have looked back on the first half term of lockdown, and have enjoyed compiling some highlights that came out of home schooling.  All of which were possible due to the commitment from staff, parents and children all coming together to do their best during an incredibly difficult time.


Funky Friday

Y7 had #FunkyFriday time on Google Classroom at the end of a very strange, first week back. From ‘Hairy’ Potter to scary masks, Minnie Mouse to Gryffindor jumpers, their dressing-up skills were very impressive, and importantly lots of fun was shared together, helping everyone to settle into a new, interim way of learning.

Virtual Assembly

Mr Thrower delivered some fascinating virtual assemblies this term that really tapped into the core values of the ethos at St John’s.
