Scholarships and Awards
11+ Scholarships
The School offers scholarships and exhibitions for 11+ students for excellence in academic studies, music, sport, art, drama, and product design technology.
Awards of up to 20% of full fees can be made, and these can be supported by bursaries where financial need is demonstrated. The number of awards in each category depends on the calibre of the applicants.

All-through Scholarships
Many Senior Schools enjoy welcoming pupils with scholarships from their Prep Schools. Scholarships at Dean Close St John’s are particularly long-standing, as St John’s is a Dean Close Foundation school, our scholarships apply throughout their education, from Prep school into Senior School and Sixth Form.
Year 8 Scholarships and Head's Awards 2024-25
We are delighted to celebrate the achievements of our Year 8 pupils in the 2024–25 academic year.
16 of our 17 pupils were awarded either scholarships or Head's Awards by our school, or scholarships by a range of prestigious senior schools, with some pupils receiving multiple offers — a wonderful testament to their talent and dedication.
We are incredibly proud of all our pupils and their outstanding accomplishments.
