Due to COVID, this term we have been unable to compete in sports matches with other schools. However, this hasn’t stopped us enjoying all sport has to offer at St John’s. Here are a few recent photos.

This term, Reception enjoyed Beep Beep Day. They have been learning about road safety with lovely, practical hands-on activities. The children have learned about road signs and traffic signals, as well as how to safely cross the road.
Pupils of all ages enjoy the on-site Forest School.
This term, Years 6 and 7 joined a live Zoom session with poet Amerah Saleh, looking at the theme #vision from this year’s #NationalPoetryDay. The talk focused on what poetry means and how it can be used to communicate and bring people together.
The boarders carve pumpkins for the Friends of St John’s Pumpkin Carving Competition 2020.
From diamond mining to space travel, chaos theory to teaching old dogs new tricks; today’s Years 5 & 6 Science Fair had a bit of everything!
Earlier this term, the front lawn outside Dean Close St John’s was covered in ceramic poppies, made by Year 5, to mark Remembrance Sunday.
What a weekend for the boarders! Earlier this term, there was a trip to The Cornfield Project in Portskewett, curry for tea Saturday night, on Sunday a walk into Chepstow Town market for crepes and candy floss, followed by a friendly water fight back at the boarding house!
