Flexible Boarding Options

Part-time boarding is a regular arrangement where pupils stay on set nights each week (1, 2, 3, or 4 nights), providing consistency and routine. These nights are pre-booked for the whole term.

Ad hoc boarding is a fully flexible, one-off option designed to support families when unexpected needs arise. Pupils can stay occasionally, subject to availability, with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice.

Additional ad hoc nights can also be added to a part-time boarding arrangement when needed.

Part-time boarding is ideal for families who need regular childcare on specific nights of the week due to work schedules or other commitments. It’s also a great option for children who want to experience boarding in a familiar, supportive setting before considering full-time boarding.

Ad hoc boarding works well for families who occasionally need flexible care due to unexpected events, or for pupils who want to stay overnight to take part in a specific after-school activity or event.

Part-time and ad hoc boarding options are available to pupils from Year 3 upwards. 

As part of our part-time boarding package, children can stay for 1, 2, 3, or 4 regular nights per week. This consistent routine works well for families who need regular support during the school week.

Some families also choose ad hoc boarding, which allows them to book occasional nights as needed — whether around work commitments, travel plans, or other family needs

Yes, we operate our own minibuses with dedicated school drivers. Our buses run on set routes and provide reliable transport for pupils to and from school. Please see our bus routes and fees here.

After the school day, boarders enjoy a relaxed routine that includes clubs, extra-curricular activities, homework time, dinner, and evening events. There’s a strong sense of community, with plenty of opportunities for socialising, taking part in different activities, and winding down in a safe and supportive environment.

Our experienced boarding staff provide round-the-clock care, ensuring children feel safe, supported, and happy throughout their stay. They are on hand to help with everything from bedtime routines to a friendly chat before lights out.

The boarding house is led by Mrs Emily Richardson, Head of Boarding. Our resident boarding parents, Mr and Mrs Richardson, who live on site with their family. Mr Richardson is also the Deputy Head and teaches History and Games, while Mrs Richardson works as a Teaching Assistant in the Pre-Prep.

Mr Jones, our Graduate Assistant, is regularly on duty and also stays in the boarding house flat when on call, offering additional support and supervision.

Part-time boarding:
We offer 1, 2, 3 or 4 night packages:          

• Flexi 1 (1 consistent night per week per term): £565 per term
• Flexi 2 (2 consistent nights per week per term) £1,085 per term
• Flexi 3 (3 consistent nights per week per term) £1,555 per term
• Flexi 4 (4 consistent nights per week per term) £900 per term*

Ad-hoc boarding:
Monday to Thursday: £55 per night.
