The School Day

Collection 1: 3:25pm – 3:35pm

Doors open for collection from 3:25pm to 3:35pm. We will always aim to open the doors on time, but please bear with us as working with children is not always an exact science.

No collections between 3:35pm and 4:15pm as during this time, children remain in class for a timetabled session (a mix of clubs, reading, and well-being activities). That said, if you are aiming for a pick-up at that time and are stuck in traffic or delayed for some reason, we will, of course be happy to try and help. We would ask that you call Hayley in the office and she can arrange to have your child ready for you when you arrive. Please do only use this if absolutely necessary though.

Collection 2: 4:15pm – 4:25pm

Doors open for collection from 4:15pm to 4:25pm. Doors will close at 4:25pm, and Late Stay provision will begin. If you have children in both sections of the school, please collect your Pre-Prep child first before heading to Prep.

Our fees include all wraparound care from 7:50am to 5:50pm, providing flexibility and convenience for families.

If you would like your child to have breakfast in the main dining room (included in the fees), please make sure that they are booked in with Hayley on reception in advance so we know to cater for your child. Please email: williamsh@deanclosestjohns.org.uk .

After lessons finish, children can take part in a wide variety of clubs and activities until 5:50pm.

If you would like to book a longer stay, including supper (an additional fee applies), this is also available. We also offer flexible boarding options for those who wish to stay in the boarding house.

Please note that there is no after-school care available from 4:30pm on Exeats, as well as at the end of half term and the end of term.
